I need some help identifying a snake, plase help?

OK! so we had this snake fall out of my parents kitchen ceiling they were Black and gray striped across the back making like half bands over the top's of there bodies and they were around 2 to 3 feet long. Thats about the best picture i can paint for you. anyone know what they are?

Probably some kind of rat snake. They are excellent climbers and often go into houses looking for rodents. I understand you're in Ohio, where black rat snakes are very common.

If it's not this, let me know and I can think of other possibilities, but I'm willing to bet it's a black rat snake. They get darker and become solid black as adults. They can easily grow to 6 feet long.

proboly a rat snake. they wont hurt u if u dont hurt it... i wouldnt go touch it.......    LOL

Im thinking a rat snake like person number one said but I wish you had a picture or where you live. Rat snakes do get in peoples houses.

this snake is called a black rat snake the cannot hurt you but the like dark smoggy spaces place an orange there for 2-3 days to leave a sent no more black rat snake will be up there.
