  1. salt and pepper, bonnie and clyde.

  2. Gerbils are NOCTURNAL. Therefore, try not to bother them too much unless it is nighttime. The do not require human socialization like some rodents, so don't hold them too much or they will not like you. GIve them fresh veggies once a week, and never let them go without some type of excersise in their cage (running wheel is the best).

    salt and pepper

    suzie and sammie

  3. well the sleep at night and need a wheel to run in like buy a hmaster wheel it would work, and clean there cage 1 time a week or if more you need like pine beeding try to buy BIG bag so you don't need to buy new stuff like every week. clean water every other day, and but some tishioue rolls in there for them to chew on. and they love carrots and apples. well for names let me think...Gramcacker,Pudding Honey, Lemon sounds good and so does White-Snow-Drop.  have fun and hope i could help you a lot!

  4. Names:

I've had 4 gerbils and i still have 3 of them. They are all males. Make sure you get your 2 females from the same litter or they will fight.

For cages, the best cage would be a 10 gal. or 15. gal. tank. Good bedding would be aspen, carefresh, soft-sorbent, etc... but do NOT use Pine or Ceder!!!!!

Don't get a plastic cage or any of those crittertrails or whatever with tubes, because they can chew right through that and escape.

If you get a wire cage, i recommend carefresh bedding because i've found it doesn't go trhough the bars as easily as others so less clean-up.

Make sure you give them plenty of wood things to chew on to wear down their teeth.

Again, try to keep the plastic to a minimum if any, because if they ingest too much they could die.

Give them gerbil food along with some foods like, lettuce, carrots, wheat bread, etc... sparingly. Do a search on what foods they can and can't eat.

It may take awhile for them to get used to you, and they won't like to be held at first. They would much rather run around than sit still in your hand. Once you tame them and get them used to you, they are soo friendly and don't mind being held as much! Mine have never bit me!

    Gerbils are DIURNAL! Not nocturnal.

Clean their cage about once every 2 weeks.

I hope i helped! Good luck with your gerbils!
