We are either going to be having our wedding in May or August, any ideas for table clothes, flowers, chair covers? Any type of fabric better for things? I just wanna know anything you can tell me. What should I watch out for? Any personal experiences, either good or bad? please please please share!! Thanks!!

  1. My suggestion for chair covers is don't have them. I always find them to look like dust covers, and end up uncomfortable sitting on them. Save the cost. Table cloths you should talk to your caterer about, they often provide them for you.

  2. The table covers should pick up the violet color, as should flowers.  Tell the caterer and the florist what you want.  There's no need for chari covers unless the chairs you'll be using are less than nice.  If you do use chair covers they should be the same color as the table cloths.  If you're going to have candles on the tables, then use the lime green accent for those items.  Make sure to shop around carefully for what you'll be needing and to compare prices; and don't let anybody try to strong-arm you into renting/buying anything you really don't need.  Remember that caterers, florists and wedding planners make their living off weddings and will try to convince you that you absolutely must have this or that piece of stuff otherwise it wouldn't be a real wedding.  Don't let them get away with this c**p.  They just want to pick your pocket.

  3. silk for dresses if ur in a muggy area. table clothes u can get cheap plastic ones at a dollar store, i.e. dollar tree. flowers talk to a florist about purple roses. just let ur imagination run wild. congrats & good luck!!!

  4. My wedding is in 4 weeks ! Almost done with the planning myself.

I love the colors! The month really depends on where you are having it..find a location and think about what season/time/weather/ it will be.

Most locations will come with chairs/tables/ and linens.

Depending on what month you choose you should play that month up.

I chose wooden roses. Everyone who has seen them has stood mouth agape and drooling. 208$ for 2000 in any color you can imagine ordered online.

I found a table cloth place ON LINE again, and bought rather than rented 25 table cloths for 200$... after the wedding I plan on dying them and using them for different seasons and then selling a ton of them. To rent would have cost over 300.

I bought my dress, custom made to my own design, over seas, fits perfect 162$ included shipping... to buy this dress here would have easily EASILY cost me 1500$.

I bought all my clearware plates, cups and utensils for just over 100$ from smooth talking party city... easy to do, I can explain in detail.. email me.

I also did all my decorations and spent less than 400$ by using the craft store coupons in the sunday paper..

We planned on spending 5K total out of pocket. We are at 7K.. and all but done.

  6. I suggest having the wedding in May. Depending on where you live, August can be very hot. I think for every other table cloth should be violet, lime green, violet, lime green, etc. Then have a silver center piece on each table.

  7. You can check out theknot.com It has lots of details and pictures. It might help if you register with your name and wedding date. It's free and it helps you a great deal especially when it comes to decoration essentials.
