  1. You might want to say why you are home schooled or may not say?

A lot of people think home schoolers are letting down the public education system and making schools worse by withdrawing kids.

If you are homeschooled that means you can get to the library in the middle of the day and research there!

    So why havnt you?

Next time read up on the topic in advance!

P.s. If you are home schooled cos of a disability or medical problem you may be able to get the library to bring books to you if they have a disabilities home delivery serivce?

  2. Hands. Most of us use our hands to recover artefacts.

ps - Google is your friend

Edit - machines ARE used in many excavations, usually to remove overburden.

  3. research it! google! don't ask random yahoo answerers.

  4. Machines are not used. In the Western US, where many paleontological remains are found, Federal Law requires a paleontologist to be present whenever a machine digs into the ground say, for a basement or pipeline or such.

Currently the Chinese are making great finds in the Gobi but are disturbing them because of heavy handed procedures removing the remains.

Once discovered, the remains are gently uncovered and removed, by professionals, usually under the auspices of some University or other.
