I need some help to think of an easy to do costume for a school carnival?

I need an idea for a costume or something that my friend and i could wear to our school sports carnival. She is in the blue house and i'm in green so the costumes need to match those colours. Were not exactly the richest girls so something cheap and easy would be best and we're quite happy if it involves some DIY.

Dude.  Green body paint and fake muscles.  You can be She-Hulk.  Very cheap, very current, very awesome.  You'll be a hit.

Dress up as a couple of M&Ms.  Cheerleaders. Football players.  You can go to your local thrift store and check out what kinds of clothing they have and make up your own funky costume. Cheap and easy.
