What year did jet ski's come out making the 4 stroke enguines?

How would you tell the difference between the 2 stroke and 4 stroke?

I know 2 stroke goes faster but bad on gas. I want to 4 stroke.

Two strokes are inefficient.  They spit up to 30% of their fuel unburned right back into the water.  

Thank you for making an effort to buy a 4 stroke.  My beach experience will taste, smell, and sound better.

unless you are a professional stick with the 4-stroke, it'll last longer, and run better with less maintenance...
