I downloaded Mozilla Firefox for one of the 7 accounts on my computer and it worked like a dream, so I decide to tell my sister about it and decided that I would download it for her, little did I know that it was already on all seven accounts. When I tried it told me that I had to reboot for all updates, so I tried and when I logged back on, nothing happened, so when I clicked the download icon it told me the same thing, and I tried it about 4 or 5 times, nothing happened, so I tried to go to Add/ Remove programs and remove it on my account, when I tried it told me yet again to reboot. So, I decided to try and download it once more from the website and about 4 screens into the download it told me that I had to reboot again. Note the only icon on my screen was the download icon, everytime I was told to reboot, I did.

Please help me, in short it keeps telling me to reboot and I do yet I cannot get it installed.

  1. sorry, not a pro or anything but don't listen to anyone on here because if its not the right answer then it can really mess up your 1,000 dollar computer so I would definently ask your computer company.

  2. first do a system restore

then try to download firefox from the site

after the download, double click on the downloaded file to start the setup

make sure you follow all the directions carefully

there is no need to reboot after installing firefox

and it is already installed on all the account when you install it from one.

    good luck!

  3. start in safe mode, logging into your sister's account, then perform a System Restore to prior to your attempt to do your sisters account.  if there is no point for that time, then log into YOUR account and do a restore to prior to your putting firefox onto your account.

when complete, you should be back at square one and you can start over.

  4. You could try System Restore to just prior to the problem.

    Start

    Programs

    Accessories

    System Tools

    System Restore

It's reversible, you can go way back and come forward again if needed .

    Good luck,

    DW
