I need some help with a very abnormal period, HELP!?

OK, 3 months ago I had my period and it was very heavy. Heavier than normal. I usually get my period about every 3 or 4 months since after getting off of Depo (which is the birth control shot that they give you). It was very heavy 3 months ago with a lot of clots (about 2 inches in length), I went through a lot of tampons and pads and it lasted about 3 weeks. Not so heavy all the days but most of them.

Now, I have my period again and I am in A LOT of pain, this morning I went through 4 tampons (super) in 2 hours. I even wore pads at the same time and I even leaked onto the pad like I wasn't even wearing a tampon each time. Am I hemorrhaging? When my mom was 37 years old she had tumorous cysts and fibroids and ended having to get a hysterectomy. Can anyone offer some advice?

I agree to get to a Dr. and be checked out. I know a couple of people that had problems once they got off of Depo and not only that but with family history you don't want to mess around. I hope it all turns out well for you.

you defiantly need to go see a doctor 3 weeks is way too long for a period to last your hormones are probably out of whack from the depo

If you exercise often your period will be more often and less heavy.

i dont think that is normal. i think you need to see a doctor about this one.

Get to a hospital. Any time you soak through more than one feminine hygiene product in less than an hour you need to go to the hospital. You could be hemorrhaging which can cause death. Go NOW!

If you are bleeding through a super in 30 minutes you need to go in.  You can become anemic.  You can pass out because of it.  Just go in to the doc.
