I need some help with cigars please!

Question

i'm the best man in a wedding this weekend and want to get cigars for after the ceremony for all the guys...anyone have any suggestions as to what type are a tasty not to expensive treat for this type of occasion?? We are all in our Mid 20's if that helps...thanks so much best answer gets 10 points and a cigar for themselves sent to them

A question and some suggestions:

-Do you or the groomsmen currently smoke cigars?  If so...go with what they like.  Surely this shouldn't be that hard then.  

-If none of you smoke, go with something at the milder end of the scale, as the stronger cigars may be a bit much; plus you may not be able to adequately appreciate the various aromas; a bit of a waste then.

-Without knowing your individual taste preferences, it would be impossible to recommend a specific cigar.  Go to a specialty cigar store, and talk with them.  They may have some specific recommendations for someone new to smoking a cigar.  

-Rather than focus on a brand, get something of good quality that smokes well, have pleasant notes, and is enjoyable.  

-While you're at the store, get a cigar cutter and a proper lighter.  

-Macanudo, Punch, Romeo y Julieta all make quality product, although given my location, I just smoke my Cubans and enjoy the good stuff.  I just like the flavour.

-The bigger brand names are good quality, but, to an extent, you are paying for the name.

I enjoy the short punch or macanudo's.  you should get a cigar afficianado magazine.  In the back they have a section where they rate cigars for the month.  check it out.

How close are your to a Beverages and More store? They have a cigar section and they may be able to help with your concerns.

the problem is that I may prefer a Panatella from Costa Rica and you want a Robusto from Nicaragua

You cannot go wrong with a Macanudo Portifino. This is a quality Dominican Cigar grown from Cuban Seed.  It is sold in a resealable aluminum tube and just says "I have great taste" on every level.

This cigar would be a Ferrari if it were a car!

One of you clowns gave me a thumbs down.  If you read the question it mentions price concerns....I addressed this answer by factoring in all the talking points.  Of course there are better cigars than a Portafino....but your ignoring the facts of the question.  Dont thumbs down me just because you dont happen to agree......and finally, 15 or 30 years of smoking cigars does not an expert make.  Read the question again.
