so i just bought a car from my aunt. i need it to be on the road by tuesday.today is thursday.heres a list of things that need to be done before we can legally drive it:

new tires

check engine light is on

registered

inspected

and we need to get the papers that say the car is ours

is it possible to get all that done in 4 days?

btw-my aunt already sent in the papers like a week or 2 ago and we still havent gotten them. how much longer do you think it would take?

You need to tell us where the papers went.  Otherwise the answers will be nonsense.

I don't understand what you're trying to do.  When you buy a car, you take the title to the DMV, and they hand you a tag, right then.  The title comes back in a month, but you don't need that to drive a car.  So how is it that you're waiting on paperwork and don't have a tag?  Did she have a loan against the car?  Did she send papers to the bank, maybe?  In that case, you need a temporary tag instead.

Register and inspect the car will at least take 2 days

Check engine and get papers may take 2-3 days...

Just when u go to each person to get the car ready, be wicked annoying and call every hour to see if ur car is finished so that they do ur car first to get u off their backs...

go down to the state office and see what's going on and if it is possible to recive a fax/other but not having the papers may mess up your plans

if you can get the car put in your name with the papers and then take it to a shop that does inspections and ask them about the light/if they have the equipment to check it

if the inspection shop can't do it take it to a shop that is qualified on saturday make a appoinment now you can always cancel

apter that go to the tire shop and get your tires
