It's for my early childhood course and I need some ideas. The little boy loves lions, planes, and power rangers lol. He starting to get a handle on his fine motor point and likes fun stories

  1. Make a short book out of construction paper. Have him take the book home and cut out pictures of his favorite things and glue them to the page and write what the object is.

  2. i do this in my class. if he likes lions get a lion puppet and a composition book, sit down with all the kids and give the lion a name you can put other animals in their too. now you tell the children that every Friday one of the children will take the puppets and the the book home and the parents need to help too. the children will try to make a story about the animals or the lion and the parents will write it on the book and the kids can draw the story that they told. but each child write a part of the story. by the time the book gets to the last child you will have a great story and a lot of nice drawings.

  3. Have lions, planes, other transportation and animals (I tend to shy away from power rangers - too violent) and have him glueu them onto a self made book of construction or computer paper -write the word underneath. He will be able to read the book himself because he will be able to see the picture - eventually, cover the picture and see if he can recognize the word.
