  1. Getting a tattoo just for the attention is not a good reason to get a tattoo. You're going to have this thing on your body for the rest of your life...make sure you'll love it forever.

  2. u might want 2 regret it l8r. getting a tattoo stays w/u 4 the rest of ur life.try temporary ones or the one that lasts 4 a long time but it's fake. If u still want the permanent try aiming for the things u like. Maybe ur pet, a role model, the one you love (careful on that 1) or maybe a logo. Like a butterfly or a star or a heart. Or like the star 4rm Tila Tequila.  :)

  3. Inkdevie is completely correct.

I must tell you, that when I read these words

    :

"Anything it doesn't matter what it is i just want to get something good and that will get attention..."

I thought a lot of things that I am not going to tell you, but they weren't nice, and I shook my head the whole time that I thought them.

Stop yourself. Before you get a tattoo, a haircut, clothes, .. before you say another word, or think another thought,.... and don't get defensive either.

Now, take a deep breath and listen.

You are alive. Your life is important, don't waste your time trying to impress others. It never, ever works. You'll just start getting negative attention, and actually crave it, and you will never ever get what you want this way. Take a week, don't talk on the phone, read the paper, email, or text,.. don't distract yourself from you. Remind yourself of the things that you knew in childhood. Remember the things that are important to you. What makes you smile? Who do you love? What are you curious about? What do you like to do, even if no one knows about it? .. just for yourself? These are the things that belong to you and no one else, they are a part of you, they are your expression, they are your life.

Then, and only then, find the images that are important to you. For you. Not for anyone else's attention.

You are at a young age, on the cusp of adulthood, and you want to belong to the group that is your peers. You already do. You don't have to work at it. No matter what you think, your peers aren't 'cooler' than you, .. they are insecure, and unsure also. But the ones who are truly relaxed, and everyone really likes as a person, they don't worry about doing anything for attention, they get attention by not trying.

Wait on the tattoo. You have much to sort out, and much growing up to do. Relax, it was no different for any of us that went through it or is going through it now. Just hold off on those life long decisions, and you'll be fine.

  5. Inkdevie deserves best answer. Think about what means something to YOU. You will have this tattoo for life. You don't want to regret it someday. I had my first tat at 18. I wanted one for years before I got one. I decided at 16 that I wanted a dolphin on my calf, right above my ankle. My mom would have singed for me to get one then but I decided to wait until I was 18. I told myself if I still wanted a dolphin when I am 18 then I will get it. I did not want to regret my tattoo.I am planning on getting another soon. It will be my children' names. This is another I have been wanting for years now. I wait a few years before getting one done. That way I don't rush and get something I will not like later.

  6. well the best tattoo for a guy is a Cross but choose a nice design... thats if ur Christian. and put it either on you hand or on ur right shoulder ;)

  7. this is gonna be the start of a long hate filled thread kid. Just to warn you. Anyone who answer this will probably tell you that you shouldn't just tattoo anything on you to look cool. Not to mention that it will get you mocked in the tattoo community.

here's a tip. Think about things that are important in your life, things that you love and work from there. if you want it to get attention, it doesn't really matter what it will be, just have it be nice and brightly colored. But i do highly recommend that you really think on it and get something that fits you as a person and maybe explains a little bit about who you are. Even an astrological sign would work. I just promise you that if you just jump and get something just to be inked your gonna hate it later in life. I've worked in a parlor for a long time and more times then not the cover ups we end up doing are from the exact same reasoning you have. think on it a bit. meet with an artist and go over some ideas. hit good web sites as well. I recommend checking out deviantart.com. there's some amazing art work in there, all original and you can find just about anything. just make sure you message the artist to make sure it's ohkay that you use their work.

good luck. and remember, this is on you forever. get something that is You.

  8. Do not get a tattoo just to get attention!  You will regret this decision.  The tattoo should mean something to you and it should come from yourself and your own life, not from random strangers on the internet.  Trust me you will cherish the tattoo and the memory so much more if it is done for you and not for anyone else.
