the party guests are all between the ages of 15-19.

there will be somewhere around 30 guests.

the location options are: my house (this is where i want to have the party; im just afraid i wont have enough stuff to do), my church, and the park

i want the party to NOT be tacky and themed.

i need sugestions about activities to do...im fine with games, but i DONT want them to be stupid.

the main thing i need suggestions about is just how to fill up the time. the only things i know to do are: eat, open presents, just kind of hang out, maybe watch a movie...but i dont know! help!

  1. if you did want to have it at ur house

    you could:

play games like guitar hero, rock band and dance dance revolution- if u dont have these ask a friend to borrow them and you could have competitions or something for a little while and just hang out have fun and relax

    P.S  Happy Birthday!!!!

  2. I'd say to have it at the park...have lots of food and drinks..no need to really decorate, maybe just some balloon arrangements and table cloths...have a radio for music...play a game of volleyball or kickball..play relay race games for prizes (think up really fun stuff for the races!)..frozen t-shirt contest (freeze t-shirts and people have to thaw them out first and put them on)...water balloon games...pie eating contest.

  3. do it at a restaraunt!! or go clubing- in a young underaged responsible way.  or if you live close to a beach, do it there and play volleyball.  do you have a country club house close by?  rent it out and have a dj. rent out a local pool.  also,  make sure everyone at the party is comfortable with everyone else. maybe rent a hummer limo (thats what my friend did) and cruise around till you find a party ( this would be in a city)

  4. Having been there and done that with teenage kid parties before, i suggest just having several options available.

A few movies to choose from is a great idea.  Video games would be great too.  Kids love playing Wii or PS or Xbox!  Good old fashioned board games are good too.  how often do you play Monopoly?  Not often, but when you bring it out it's so much FUN!

Food choices is great too.  have a lot of snacks out for them to graze over.

Have a CD player for them to plug their iPods into or something like that.

They will actually entertain themselves more then you think they will.

You know your guests more then I do too, do they like crafts?  maybe have some papers and stickers out.  some kids could scrapbook the days events or something.  Just a random thought there...

  5. I do not know what kind of set up you have, but you can do a Karoke night, have a disco ball and rent a Karoke machine. Have a contest for who's singing is the best do an American Idol sort of party.  Have someone play Randy, Paula, and Simon.

The Park, you can have volleyball courts, relay races, rent an inflatable slide that teenagers can go on.  Make it a sports party.  Play frisbee golf...

Have a black and white party,  have music playing for dancing and have old movies playing on multiple TV's around the room.  Make everything black and white the tables chairs etc...  Get black and white M&M's in cocktail glasses.    You can do this at church if your church has projection screens.
