  1. as a daycare provider there are many activities and crafts you can use that are quite cheap.

examples for activities would be playdoh, coloring books, peg boards, shaving cream (a little dab in front of them on the table and let them draw/play away!), parachute, different types of climbers, bells and streamers/pom poms for song and dance, little tikes bikes, puzzles, matching games, dress up boxes, dolls, puppets, beach balls, mini basketball hoop, matchbox cars with a community scene rug, and much more.

as for crafts, you could use just about anything.  There are wiki stixs, mini pom poms, bingo dotters, finger paint, popsicle sticks, feathers, squiggly eyes, stickers, and a lot more.  of course it all depends on the weekly theme and which crafts would be more appropriate.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!!

  2. Have you went to Crayola.com they have an educators link you have to sign in but its free.  They have lots of excellent fun stuff correlation to learning.

  3. some things with edibles is good, but always be sure to keep hand sanitizer and lysol around since kids put everything in their mouth, sneeze in your face, and drool on everything. germs spread rampantly. colorings is a must, storytime, and feltboards and blocks are good. I would have colored blocks and help the kids arange them by color or shape to begin teaching them colors shapes and counting. singing is good too, they love to sing and dance.
