  1. A 70's theme would be very appropriate. Dress the parts. Play the tunes....can you dig? I'll be 51 this year too.


  2. Definitely the 70s theme.  He was a teenager during the 70s and most people love the music they listened to as a teenager .... Do NOT do any of the "over-the-hill" things that some idiot suggested;  NO canes, nursing homes, etc ....  Make his favorite foods......

  3. Take him to a nice restaurant with some family.  Have great time!

  5. Get many party banners hats napkins and plates shouting the fact that he is 51. Buy him a cane. Get him many pamphlets on nearby nursing homes. Make him laugh. Make sure he has a fun time and invite many relatives.

  6. surprise party... just tell him you are going to take him to a quiet dinner just the two of you

  7. ask him what his idea of the best day would be ."sneekaly of course" .then try to fullfill it best as posible .
