  1. Do you have a church. Some times they have rooms available for familys or you could consider a pizza place such as chuckie cheeses or perhaps a back yard. Most harware stores rent tables and chairs for the day very inexpensive. What about asking Grandparents for ideas as well ?

  2. Why would 30 adults have any interest in your one year old's birthday?

Have an adult party if you want one, but don't expect distant relatives and family friends to be interested in your baby smearing cake everywhere. Keep your child's birthday party for people who the child knows and loves. For a one year old that's unlikely to be more than ten people, and is probably a lot less.

  3. I would go with a park , that has a covered pavilion. That way it's free, and the kids can play on the play ground. I would go with a fiesta theme. Pinata, margaritas for the parents, chips and salsa, its easy food almost everyone likes. And play equipment will entertain the kids.

Good luck, and have fun. Remember to take bunches of pictures.

  4. People can be so ignorant. a one year old doesn't usually have a huge group of friends yet so for a birthday there will usually be more adults than children. People invite family and friends to celebrate their childs first birthday.

Now that I got that off my chest...I would call your local park and rec department or human resources and find out if they have a picnic area that you can rent. Where I live we have a huge picnic area with a playground and pavilion with grills and such that can be rented through the town park and rec department. These areas are usually really cheap to rent. Our family rented it one year for a memorial day picnic and I think it was $20.00 for the whole day.

  5. Sounds like a party for you, not your one year old....save your money for when it wants more for it's birthday!

  6. I would not bother renting a place just for a one year old party.  The child won't know the difference and chances are he/she will get cranky and carry on and then what?  One of the parents has to leave and go home

  7. chucky cheese xD...no okay what about ur backyard..somewhere outside maybe..some kida park where u r able to grill and u adults can sit n talk do and do whatever adults do lol

  8. Go to a public park and set up some picnic tables. It's just a kid's party so it should be laid back
