I need some ideas on what science proj. i should do...?

hi im in 7th grade and I need some ideas for a science project i should do. my teach says that I can do one on a live animal. i am excited to use a live animal but i cant think of anything. my teacher told me a project she did - she bought some lizards and crickets. she put bitter taste in some orange paint, painted half the crickets and left half brown. they ate all of them but the next day they only ate the brown ones. The next day she only painted them (no bitter taste) and they still didn't eat them - i thought that was awsome and i want to do something that cool but I cant think of anything i need some help!

Do this but on a larger scale!

Contruct a small maze and teach a mouse or rat how to go through it using food. Then take the food away and the mouse should still know how to get through it.
