I need some ideas on where to put a tattoo??

Question

I am getting a tattoo of a Virgin Mary with my parents names on it. But i am not sure of where to put it...

I was planning of putting it on my lower back...

What do you guys think????

your lower back is a s**y, provocative area usually reserved for such tattoos. the virgin mary isnt s**y. put it somewhere you can admire it. in my opinion, you should put it on ur side. ur side is nice for vertical tatts.

I would get it on your shoulder blade or right below your neck. DO NOT get it on your lower back, trust me. I am not sure how old you are, but I got a "tramp stamp" (that's what they call a lower back tattoo) when I was 18, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever, and now at 25, I kind of regret getting that one. :-P But, I have one right below my neck, and it is soooo cute. I love it! :-)

I like the idea of it being on the your shoulder blade like it's guarding you. Lower back tattoos usually go from left to right or accross. I like the idea of it like being your guardian angel.

I have a tattoo on my lower back.. It's not directly in the center, it's actually about 3 inches higher than the "tramp stamp", and it's about 4 inches to the right. It's a great location..It's also pretty unique.

I would say to either put it on your back, positioned so that the top of the tattoo is about 10 inches below the base of your neck. If the tattoo is smaller, then go for the upper arm. I don't think the lower back would look quite right with that tattoo.

if i were you, i would stay away althogether. i was at the pool yesterday and i say like a waaaaayy old lady and she had a tatoo (most likely left from when she was younger) and it was pretty weird.

but, im not you. if you really ant one i suggest you get it on your lower back, your ankle (unless your image is too big), or your shoulder. i  think it would look best on your lower back, though.

Something like that would look better on the shoulder blade. The lower back looks better with some sort of band/tribal rather than an image/picture.

whatever you do, dont stick it on your legs or arms. it would ruin them.

back is way overdone, couldnt you save the money and just pretend its there if its on your back?

Lower back is way too cliche and its a total tramp stamp. If you want to hide it I'd get it on my side. If you want to show it you should put it either on your arm or in the middle of your back.
