My son is 7 months old and was eating his solids great up until about 2 weeks ago when his teething got worse. Since then he still eats a little, but he likes to spit his veggies and fruits out. He's at that age where he's grabbing at things and putting everything in his mouth. I have given him a couple of snacks like those mum mum rice crackers, but I want to try to give him more "finger foods" that have some nutritional benefit. Are there any ideas on what kind of foods I can make? He loves doing things himself, so I'm trying to promote that but still give him adequate nutrition. Any suggestions would be great. Someone recommended a feeder, but I'm not sure what that is or how it works. Are they effective?

  1. these nets work (it's the feeder) you can get them at most grocery stores in the baby section. http://www.munchkin.com/products/detail....

just put fruits (cold/frozen works best) like melons, apples, bananas, crushed ice     when washing: soak in soap and water rinse a bunch!!! i keep them out on the counter opened so it doesn't mold. Check before giving it to them for mold and stuff.

what i do is sneak the vegetable/fruit in the foods they like  and give it to them. they seem to eat them quite a bit

  2. I would try some banana, peeled grapes and apple and carrot sticks.  Cold carrot and apple sticks sooth their gums when they are teething.  Keep trying with the veggies and fruit as they go through phases.
