I need some info on a pet fish?

I am wanting to get a fish to keep in my room. I want something that can live in a small area, low mantnence, and simple to care for.

What kind of fish would be best?

Any other details about the fish would be great...

Try a betta, they are very easy. You can get betta food pellets at any pet store.

Ever heard of "Bob the Singing Bass"? He can go right up on your wall, wont be much of a hassle at all, just have to put up with his singing. Seriously....fish are high maintenance no matter what kind you get, they like attention and a large place to swim. If you plan on getting a fish, the lowest size of gallon I think in my opinion for any fish is 10 gallons. Not very large, and if you want maintence to be low...one - two fish that will not grow large...tetras,Barbs, or bettas would be perfect for you.

Bonnie said it perfectly. A 10 gallon with just a couple of fish would be best. Maybe a betta and a few ghost shrimp to add interest.
