  1. usually not, if its new.

  2. you can donate blood, but there may be a law where you live that makes you wait a while before donating again! (about 6 months)

any questions you have can be asked here, or e-mail them to me, it saves you reading through pages and pages of info!  but i'll find you some sites anyway!

the most important thing you should know is to never take a chance with your health, make sure you see the tattooist opening a clean needle, if they have one already set up, ask for it to be changed. if the shop is dirty don't even make an appointment, look for the same standards that you look for in a hospital.

  3. You need to wait 6 months after getting a tattoo before you can give blood.

  4. You can donate blood after you get a tattoo. Back in the day, tattooing wasn't as clean and 'supervised' as it is today, thus increasing the risk of blood borne disease such as AIDS and Hepatitis. However, there might be a time frame that you must wait before you give blood. Depending on the state, this may be a few months or up to a year. Check with your city or state. If there is a wait period, it is to make sure you have not contracted an illness, and it gives your body time to heal before you traumatize it again. I doubt they are so concerned with the later, but you should be,
