I'm looking into moving to Ireland the fall after I graduate, which will be two years so I'm looking into the aspects of moving there. I'm part Irish and I think Ireland is one of the most BEAUTIFUL places in the world. So if anyone can get me just general information about, I would love you forever =D Things like currency and places to visit and basic things I need to know.

I also plan on visiting Ireland before I make my final decision.

  1. Housing is very expensive, even apartments so you might be better staying with room mates and split the cost unless you are willing to spend a lot on accommodation. Public transport is good, you can get anywhere by bus or train etc.

Over here, we use euro (€). Things are very expensive (its an expensive country)

If you are coming over here to live, you will need to get a Visa which is hard to get. If one of your parents or grandparents was irish born then you are considered an irish citizen.

Cant really think of anything else. Jobs pay good.

Hope I helped, Good luck with everything :)

  2. Ah God, you want us to sum up the entire of Ireland in one paragraph? Awwww c**p,

well currency is Euro, things we do for fun are exact same as everywhere else, cinema, shopping, pubs, clubs, we have some great hiking and camping going on, as well a c**p load of stuff like horse riding, various water sports.

  3. #1 thing you need to know~Dont go around spurtin around Ireland telling everyone your Irish. You say you are part Irish, fair enough,IM PART AFRICAN MY GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT etc etc etc was a species of autraliopithicus. Sorry to exagerate the point, but it is a pet hate over here as we hear it so much.

Ahaha actually just thinkin, used to live wit a girl from america, asked her where she was from, instead of sayin Chicago, she says "well, im 1/4 swedish,1/4 scottish, 1/4 italian and 1/4 irish", so i says, why the american passport so? She did'nt get it.

But hey, there's some nice people here who will answer your question, but please take note of my rant, dont mean to be mean. You ll love it here.
