We are putting together donations to be sent to our troops in Iran and Afghanistan. We are doing individual Fem. and Masc. packages. So far each package has travel size baby wipes, deodorant, 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, medicated/baby powder, mouthwash, small soaps, fun size bags of Skittles and Sunburst and single packets of powdered fruit drink(kool-aide and crystl lite. I am wondering if I should put more personal items like maybe tampons in the fem. pkg and razors in the masc. I would welcome any and all suggestions. Thank you.

  1. I think anything you put in the packages would be greatly appreciated by our troops.  Go for it.  They are doing a tremendous job for our country.

Thank you and thank the others who are doing this project.

By the way, we are in Iraq not Iran.

  2. definetly razors. Not all women use tampons, put pads in there and they can just exchange once they receive the packages.

  3. Add some magazines and like items too.

Oh, and I've heard that small packages of crayons and small (like the dollar store kind) of coloring books are good for the guys who go on patrol so they can hand them out to the children there.

OH, and something I thought was great were blank cards.  Troops like to send birthday and like cards home to their families when it's their families birthday and there is not a large variety of these over there.  And a book of stamps too!

  4. that would be pretty good, just think of general bathroom items, and i am sure they will like it
