I need some laptop information. Help?

Hello, there. I'm 15 years old, and I've decided to start saving up for a laptop (for school and when I want to get on the Internet). Although, before I start saving, I want to make sure I know everything I can, about laptops. I've heard a lot of people talk about WiFi, but I'm not sure what it is. Can someone please explain in simple, understandable terms? Also, do all laptops offer it? Is it a good laptop that I'd be able to use for school, and then for 'fun' as in, listening to music, chatting online, etc.? What kind of accessories are necessary to buy in order to use the Internet? If so, please provide an appropiate estimation of price. My mom just said that she thinks that you need to buy some kind of software for a laptop. Is that true? I'm sorry, I know that I've asked a lot of questions. But I want to make sure that I know everything that I wouldn't know, if I didn't ask. Thanks for your help! By the way, I -have- tried looking up this information on the Internet, but it didn't really help. So please don't tell me to do so, because I've already tried.

Wi'-Fi means wireless, in other words the laptops have a wireless card integrated to get internet signal from a router that you can buy in any store, and play with your laptop from your room or living room,

You don't mention the price of that laptop. I post this link to compare prices, although that laptop doesn't have a good video card to play heavy games, but lite games.

What your mom means by software, it is ant-virus, and anti-spy. most of the laptops give you a 60day free anti-virus but when those days are over you can download a free ant-virus and anti-spy ware as good as a pay one.

Almost all laptops nowadays have support for WiFi. WiFi means the ability to connect to the internet without wires using a Wireless Router.

By the time you have enough money that laptop will be considered "old".. When you have the cash, get the latest one.
