I need some links, please?

I am a daycare provider, and I generally work with preschoolers, but for the summer, I have taken on a little girl going into the fourth grade. She is a bit bored, and I was hoping to help her beef up her weak points on school, if only to give her something to do while she's here. Anyone have any good links for printable worksheets for fourth grade?

Spelling, Science, History, Native Americans - Social Studies would be good. Even some work on third grade. These are the subjects she could use help with. I just don't really know where to start, and she's getting tired of playing baseball with my son!

Thanks.

  1. You might try having her work through some lapbooks - http://www.homeschoolshare.com/ has some good ones that would help her work on any of the above.  You would have to do a little bit of prep, but she'll likely retain a lot more than working with a worksheet.  (Your son might get into the study too - my 10yo son loves them!)

I recommended Homeschool Share because of the free resources, but Hands of a Child is a great place to look as well.  They're not free, but they're well worth it - everything, including the research, is there for you.  http://www.handsofachild.com/shop/Defaul...  They have over 250 units for preschool-high school, so I can almost guarantee they'll have something she's interested in :)  They have tons of great history and science units, as well as a Summer Olympics Unit - might be fun!

Enchanted Learning http://www.enchantedlearning.com/Home.ht... also has some good stuff.  Some of it needs a membership ($20) to be viewed, but a lot of it is free.  You will need to search through, as much of it is for younger grades, but there's plenty of 4th grade stuff there as well.

    Hope that helps!
