  1. Hi,

I'm a current make-up artist and have previously worked for CLINIQUE, and Christian Dior.

Anyway, you're 13, so you don't want to pack the make-up on.  That will come later on 'if' you even need it.

I would experiment with some eyeshadow.  Thats something you didn't list, and eyeshadow and color can be very fun to play with.  It IS always good to have some cover-up because it comes in handy when you have a break-out or blemish.  You'll put that on 'before' you put your foundation on.

I'd wear probably a chocolate brown or soft black eyeliner for your eyes, and don't draw too harsh of a line on either top or bottom lid.  Keep it soft and smudgy.  Try some eyeshadow colors like a shimmery pink on your lid, with a chocolate brown in the eye crease for a day look.

If you have blue eyes, experiment with browns and coral colors.  If you have green or hazel, try purples.  If you have brown, try corals, copper, and other brownish red shades.

Check out this site to see the placement of the colors.

For the most part, you want to use your darkest color in the crease and blend it with a brush or you make-up applicator tip.

Keep the lightest colors right on your lid.

Good luck with your first day of 8th grade!  And keep experimenting with make-up at home.  Try buying one of those Covergirl 3 color eyeshadows and experiment with the 3 colors. "Shimmering Sands" is a great palette, and the shimmery pink is great on your lid.

  2. this is school, not a date.

Just be yourself ( not too much makeup )

  3. why dont you try some glitter liquid eyeliner ? that will look cute, you dont really need coverup unless you have big zits.

  4. i'm going into the 8th grade too. i had the same problem until i realized all i had to do was put what i do what i usually do but just add blush and try a new shade of lip gloss. if you go to CVS they have good quality makeup for a affordable price.

  5. for the first day of 8th grade, just do what u normally do, just add a little color!

  6. Try some colorful eyeshadow

and for eyelinner if you have blue or green eyes it would look really cute to put to put matching eye linner but i suggest not brown eye linner it looks bad.

dont put it on too thick or too dark that can look bad too.

you dont need cover up unless you have big zits and you dont reallly need powder, ask ur mom about wearing powder.

and just go with the usual mascara.

  7. you dont need to wear alot of makeup,

trust me, the girls who do, people talk behind their backs,

eyeliner and lipgloss and mascara is enough,

dont go over the top with those freaky liners that go all over your face,

blush is fine, but not too much,

and cover up is for the acne prone,

    or for losers, either or

  8. I think that's a good amount for your age. I think blush is for older people, you don't have to bother with that. Get concealer or foundation if you must, but again, simpler is better. I recommend wearing eyeliner on the from the middle of each lid out to the outer corner, it's less harsh than lining all the way around. Good luck!
