I need some (non cheesy) ideas for WHY ARE YOU INTERESTED IN STUDENT GOVERNMENT?

I AM FILLING OUT MY APP. TONIGHT AND AM IN NEED OF A SINCERE ANSWER. HOPEFULLY ONE THE SPONSOR DOESN'T READ ON EVERY APPLICATION. THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP. MAYBE I'LL BE ACCEPTED THANKS TO YOU...! :)

Why are you yelling at us?

Student government is pointless.  It affects nothing, controls nothing, and is just a popularity contest among students who want to be able to list it on their college applications.  There is no sincere reason possible.

I'm not, not at all.

And if you don't know why your are interested, it sounds like you aren't interested either.  Maybe going out for a sport would serve you better.
