I need some one to tell me what i can do dressage on Staffordshire. (Please read what i have put)

Question

I am 13 yrs old and i want to do dressage just as fun in Staffordshire and i would like to know where i could do it and how much it will cost. Plus i dont know much about what you have to do. I have looked on the Heart of Equestion and i dont know whether i have to become a member or not. I dont want to waist my (well me dads) money but i want to have some fun on my 13.2hh pony. Just simple dressage with walk, trot and cantering in it. Please can you give me some advice and maybe a couple of links to tests. Thank You

I would go to your local tack and/or feed store and ask them.  They probably know most of the people who have horses and what they do with them. You could also stop by riding barns and just ask them!

You should join your local Pony Club

they have lots of competitions and games regularly and cost around 5pounds to enter

I thought you meant Dressage on a Staffordshire Bull Terrier !!

Try your local library. They may have a notice board with activities on it.

Have a look at www.interdressage.com.  It is an online dressage competition and can enter from around the world.  It is a good place to start as can do it at home, film the test and send it them for judging.  Means you don't need to pay for horse transport if you don't have your own and gives you a chance to give it a go without the actual nerves of going to a show.  It costs £10 to enter and they give rosettes, certificates and prize money.  Also the score sheets have an extra bit on them to give you feedback and exercises to improve.  You can also watch the video back so you can see what the judges comments were about.  Several of the girls at our yard do it sometimes and it has helped their schooling as well as getting to compete.
