I need some people's experiences with the coil (IUD)!!?

I'm contemplating getting the non hormonal IUD fitted. I havent had kids but for this type the nurse informed me that it wont be an issue.

I've heard that it can be very painful and some people just cant take to it at all, but I'm fed up with condoms and pills!! I know that the hormonal one can cause weight gain, but obviously that wont matter with this one as its non-hormonal.

IUD is the most perfect contraciptive method ever, and is very good and effective for a woman who had child birth before. You shall not feel anything during insertion of it more than you should have experienced during pap smears. The IUD loop has 2 threads loosely hanging from the cervix to your v****a that could be felt by you from time to time to check, if they are there then the loop is correctly in place. The only one who well feel anything afterwords is your husband as he will feel these threads at the tip of his p***s during intercourse and sometimes its no pleasure feeling to some men. After a while he will either get used to it or he will not feel them anymore.

It is said that IUDs increase the amount of blood during periods, but it is not confirmed through all cases , just a percentage.

One of the most benifets is the natural intemacy of not using a condom which feels great for both partners.

I should say that it is not 100% safe, some pregnancies do happen while on IUD but very rare

You should periodically check its position with your Dr.

My friend has one and says she don't even know its there. She talks good about it. That is all I really know about it. Sorry.

I have a Mirena (hormonal) and it was pretty brutal going in...but to be fair my specialist told me that mine was the most difficult one he's ever put in.  I have severe pain due to endometriosis but I had never experienced anything like that.  I have heard that some docs will schedule a few minutes of er time to put it in.
