I need some period advice?

My very, very first period was almost exactly one month ago. It was super light (mostly brown discharge), and Im wondering if I'm going to get it again soon. I dont want to get my period at school and have to go to the nurse. Would it be alright if I wore a pad just to wait and see? How long can you wear a pad when it doesn't have any blood on it? Help!?!

  1. well since you are just starting you are not regular right away , you might skip a few months it could take about 2 years to be regular. just carry some pads and clean underwear in your bag in case

  2. if your at school, then just put one on, but when you get home take it off and put another one on. but it's fine if you know you might get. but since you just started it might not be regular yet.

  3. Okay, there's no need to go to the nurse when you get your period. Just fling some pads in your purse/backpack/locker, whichever you have. And when you get it run to the bathroom. Or yes, you can wear a small pad to wait around and see if it's going to come. You should probably only wear this to school. Then when you get home take it off. I wouldn't wory too much since your last one was so light. This next period may be a tad heavier, but it's not going to be a none-stop faucet.

  4. Well...you can wear a pad for as long as you want and nothing will happen even if it's not actually your period but that's probably uncomfortable.

What I would do is just bring an extra pad along with me to school. That way if you feel your period you can just go to the bathroom and put it on then.

Also, I got my very first period at the end of August (not this August...an August 7 years ago haha), and it didn't come again until Columbus day (I remember this clearly because I was pissed it came on a 3 day weekend haha) so yours might not come in exactly a month either. It takes a few months for them to settle down and come regularly.

  5. If I was you, I would wear a pantie liner. Most of the time your period starts off slow so you will have a chance to get a full pad. Plus, you wont wanna wear a pad if your not gonna have it because they are annoying :] but you can a pad as long as you need if it doesn't have any blood on it but if it smells bad, change it. Don't worry, that's how my first period was too, but the next month at the same time, it started fully.

  6. You might get another one soon.  It's hard to say.  When you first start having a period it can be pretty irregular.  Just carry around some panty liners.  They are smaller and thinner than regular pads and won't feel as annoying.

I would't wear a pad for more than four hours.  Even if you don't have any discharge bacteria can build up in the pad.

    Good luck!
