  1. I would suggest the common Red Squirrel.

They are very friendly creatures and perfect around young children. They can also be trained to do common everyday chores for example washing up, laundry and even buttering your morning bagel.

They can also be trained to do various tricks for your entertainment for example jumping through hoops of fire or eating large fruits.

They don't have many enemies so you will not have to worry about epic duels in your house, unless of course a common Grey Squirrel comes into your common Red Squirrels territory.

You can find Red Squirrels in your local park so they don't cost you a dime. Also they are very self sufficient ie. all they need is a tree to live in.

Good luck with your Red Squirrel.

I hope it brings you as much joy as my Red Squirrel, Fiona, has brought me.

  2. Just some tips: Chinchilla's are cute and cool but......don't put its cage near your wall because my cousin's friend did that and it ate a hole through the sheetrock. Also, someone I know has a guinea pig and it's fun and everything, but they p**p and pee like crazy!! It's really smelly. I think a bearder dragon would be cool and different. I am not sure where you can get a pet in illinois, but check at a flea market or at the mall.

  3. you can own all three of those in illinois. They are all completely different animals, I am confused with your choices! A bearded dragon is much different than a guinea pig, ha. Anyway when you first get your new pet it will be expensive. I can't really give you an estimate because the chinchilla and guinea pig need different supplies than a bearded dragon. I would suggest checking all of these animals out at your local pet store and looking at the prices of the supplies they will need to get an idea of what the expense will be.

  4. i would go with a guinea pig you can get one at a pet store they  will do nice in a 10 gallon tank
