I need some questions to ask my relative and I onyl have 16.?

I am writing a 5 page report about my last name and I don't know what I should ask. I need four more questions. Its easy 10 points these are the questions i have.

1. Do you have any sites that would help find my last name?

2. What is the backround of our last name?

3.What is the orgin of my last name?

4. How far can our last name get traced back?

5. What does my last name mean?

6. What interesting details would support my topic about my last name?

7. Did we have any famous ancestors?

8. Where did you migrate from?

9. What influenced you to move to Colorado?

10. Can you suggest any other relatives that could give me more information? etc...

I have up to 16 I just need four more questions.

Whats the history behind my last name? Where did it come from? Is my last name popular? Whats unique about it

1.  When did our family immigrate to the United States?

2.  Why did they come here?

3.  Is that where our name originated?

4.  Was the spelling of our last name changed?

5.  Have you ever tried to trace our family name back to it's origins?

6.  Do we have a family crest?  What does it look like?

7.  Was our family part of the ruling class, Lords & Ladies, or were we the pesants?

Some answers can prompt other questions.  For instance if you find out that you are Scottish, what are the colors of the family tartan?   What does it look like?  So you are going to have to be prepared to adlib a bit.  Be prepared to listen to stories about long lost family members.  You may learn something interesting that way.  You would be suprised how appreciated you will be, just for showing an interest, especially if this is one of the older family members.

This is an exercise in investigation and research skills. Besides contacting your family members, here's some sites that may help.  Unless you're a native American Indian, your family had to have immigrated into USA in the last 200 years.
