    "Never give up."

    Jim Valvano

Each and every day we face a myriad of challenges that severely test our resolve. Like it or not, demanding problems and difficult decisions are every bit a part of every day living as eating and breathing. The manner in which we handle life's trials and tribulations in large measure dictate the degree of success we ultimately enjoy throughout our lifetimes.

Some of the matters we must deal with are fairly innocuous and easy to address, while others by their very nature are life-changing in scope. And it is these life altering issues that literally make us or break us, depending on how we manage them - or allow them to manage us.

"It's always too early to quit."

    Norman Vincent Peale

Very few people really enjoy tackling the tougher than tough problems life presents on occasion. After all, is it always easier to retreat or recoil whenever trouble comes knocking at our doors. But running for cover whenever trouble strikes never gets any of us anywhere we truly want to go. Shrinking away just allows our problems to grow in size and strength, making our life's journey all the more difficult.

Enjoy it or not, sometimes we just have to draw a line in the sand and go toe-to-toe with our toughest problems. That means refusing to back down or back away, refusing to forfeit control of our lives any longer to outside influences. By tackling our problems head-on, we can power through virtually anything standing in our paths.

"Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never."

    Winston Churchill

You can always find or conjure up 1,000 or more reasons to surrender and run up the white flag in defeat. After all, quitting is easy. As a matter of fact, running and hiding when times get rough is easier than easy. But is quitting what you're really all about? Are you ready to give up on your dreams and give up on the life you have always dreamed of living? Are you prepared to live a life of doing without, where your most cherished dreams never come true? I seriously doubt you are.

You can never give up on your dreams. Never. You can never give up on attaining your goals. Never. And you certainly can never give up on living life the way you have pictured it a million times in your mind. Never. Instead of giving up and quitting whenever problems crop up, why not knuckle down and adopt a tougher-than-nails refuse to lose attitude?

"A quitter never wins and a winner never quits."

    Napoleon Hill

Aren't you ready to live life in the manner it was intended to be lived? Then you're going to need to defeat your problems, big and small alike, day in and day out. That means plowing through those pesky problems that stand in your way, powering through them with everything that you've got.

Your hopes and dreams are far too valuable to be written off from fear or failure to act. Instead of allowing your problems to gain control, why not show the courage to go nose to nose with your problems right from the get go? When you persistently stand up for what you believe in by standing up to your problems, pretty soon you'll stand for something truly special.

Refusing to give out or give in, now that's what thigh octane living is all about. Never give up, ever. In fact, when we're talking about giving up on your dreams, never is never long enough.

    Never Give Up....

  10. Don't Quit!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high,

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit,

Rest, if you must--but don't you quit.

Life is q***r with it's twists and turns,

As everyone of us sometimes learns,

And many a failure turns about

    When he might have won had he stuck it out;

Don't give up, though the pace seems slow--

You might succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than

it seems to a faint and faltering man,

Often the strugler has given up

When he might have captured the victor's cup.

And he learned too late, when the

    night slipped down,

How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out--

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt--

And you never can tell how close you are,

    It may be near when it seems afar;

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--

It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

some people just don't care back.

    fifteen minutes.

After that, you'd better know something.

    I've learned-

    that you shouldn't compare

yourself to the best others can do.

    I've learned-

    I've learned-

that it's taking me a long time

to become the person I want to be.

    I've learned-

that you should always leave loved ones

    time you see them.

    long after you can't.

    no matter how we feel.

    or it controls you.

a relationship is at first, the passion fades

and there had better be something else to take its place.

and you must forgive them for that.

    I've learned-

that no matter how bad your heart is broken

the world doesn't stop for your grief.

    I've learned-

    that our background and circumstances

may have influenced who we are,

but we are responsible for who we become.

    I've learned-

that even when you think you have no more

to give, when a friend cries out to you,

you will find the strength to help.

  11. Two of my favorites:

"When you're going through h**l, keep going." ~ Oscar Wilde (I think)

"I have accepted fear as a part of life - specifically the fear of change... I have gone ahead despite the pounding in the heart that says: turn back." Erica Jong

  12. “Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough.”

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race”

"A man can be as great as he wants to be. If you believe in yourself and have the courage, the determination, the dedication, the competitive drive and if you are willing to sacrifice the little things in life and pay the price for the things that are worthwhile, it can be done."
