Somebody I know has had cancer twice already, and now he's been diagnosed with it agian. In his first round, they removed his bladder, and replaced it with something that was kind of bag like. And in the second, they were unable to identify the type of cancer he had. Now he's doing chemo and radiation. And I just want to know, if he will make it. Give me some statistics. We think that his cancer has something to do with bone marrow.

But he's just been dealing with it for about 4 years now, and I want to know if he is going to live.

Thanks guys.

  1. Cancer is a wicked disease. Some types are far more aggressive than others. A simple description is that cancer cells are like woodworm. If you have an infected organ it burrows through the organ into the next organ and so on just like woodworm travel through wood. Some are far more aggressive than others, and if the treatment doesn't kill every cancer cell it will continue to grow and multiply and it starts all over again. Cancer has 5 stages, and the higher the number the more serious it is. Luckily many cancers can be cured but it doesn't sound good for your friend. Take heart, there are treatments that do work. Be strong for him and be positive. Watch for weight loss, word slurring and forgetfulness, high temperature and profuse sweating. Those are signs that the cancer has got into the blood stream and maybe affecting the brain. These are not good signs. Good luck and email me if you want.

  2. If you want to prevent cancer (not immune to it, but make it dormant),  you need a food that transforms your body into a more alkiline state. something like dark green vegitables. Cancer is found in the acidic tissue, where dead cells do not necessarily die, but become abnormal and irregular. This promotes the chances of cancer cells becoming less dormant and becoming abnormal. The less of an acid producing body you have, the less chance of cancer forming. The same is thought if you already have cancer. kemo is not always enough, but consuming foods that leave your body with a more base pH, the better your chances of preventing your cancer from spreading to another area and growing. Also, habbits that get your body producing alkaline, such as colder showers instead of warm ones. Anything that gets your nerves jolting will cause your body to raise its pH level.

A long time ago, Dr. Otto Warburg  won a nobel peace prize for proving that cancer is anaerobic; meaning they thrive only in a low-oxygen state. Alkaline tissue holds 20 times more oxygen than does acidic tissue.

It is a natural cancer prevention, but if you doubt, its still worth a shot. Its a good habbit to get into anyways and there are plenty of medical tests that prove its outcome and knowledge out there. But, not all doctors may agree it reduces the risk, but all will agree it is a healthy way of living. whats the risk in trying?

  3. Your question is impossible to answer because every case of cancer is different . . survival depends on many different factors all coming together . . survival depends on the type of cancer, stage, grade of tumor, location of disease, response to treatment, the patients age, overall health, and the skills of the doctor or cancer center he is going to.

From your description it sound like he had a relapse of the bladder cancer and the disease has metastasized. No one knows, even his doctor don't know if he will live or not. Statistics are a generalization based on what has happened to other patients in a similar situation . . but statistics cannot define an individuals life.

That is the reality of cancer . .the unknown . . the unpredictable . . there is always hope.

  4. Don't worry. Allopathy  is the boon of the century for the mankind all over the world. the doctors shall, surgically, remove the affected organ[s] so that he shall live longer. Only thing is that he may have to spend lot of money; if he can afford.

  5. Maybe he needs a bone marrow transplant. I had one when I was one year old to cure my leukemia.

  6. I don't think it has anything to do with bone marrow. my brother had the same surgery and had a bag he was ok for a while. but it returned and he did the chemo and radiation thing . and it just kept spreading and he didn't make it he was only 49 years old. I still think about him and miss him everyday and sometimes cry

its been 5 years. cancer is a very bad and sad thing but sometimes people do make it through I hope your friend does.all you can do is be there for him and pray he does. I didn't leave my brothers side for seven days and nights before he died. only to come home and shower and had my husband stay till I got back.
