I need some really basic information about butterflies?

Question

Where do they live? What do they eat? Where do they spend most of their time? What other insects are they closely related to? Why are butterflies important to our environment?

I know these are simple. And I only need simple answers. But I don't want to look through huge research pages to search for little facts like "butterflies mostly drink nectar" and "they help pollinate flowers" So can anyone help me out?

The easiest way would be to give you information on one butterfly and you can follow it up on the same site with others.
