SPORTS DAY!

i have to beat 100m in 13.4 !! please give me some advice to how i could beat itt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Actually, you do want to lift weights, but you want to lift heavier weights at fewer reps.  You want your explosive, fast-twitch muscles to develop.  They are the ones that will help you with sprint-speed vs. long-distance endurance.  Squats and lunges, jumping, etc. will all help.  Get a trainer or coach who can help you with proper form and training schedule.  Practice getting out of the blocks over and over again.  A good start is a HUGE part of how well you do, and it was the bane of my existence when I ran track.  Practice doing starts until you think you're losing your mind, then practice them some more...  Have someone help you by timing you over and over.  Overtrain your sprints--don't just practice the 100, time yourself with 200 and 300 sprints, too, to build up your sprint endurance.  Eat properly and get plenty of rest, too...  Good luck!

    start in blocks position.. if you ever have done track then you will know what i mean

    I don't know, just take good strides and really pump your arms.  Focus on turning over your legs faster and faster.

  4. make your legs stronger lift weights but dont lift a lot of weight lift a little weight alot of times and do lunges...if you do lunges right they lengthen your stride

  5. just practise and go to harrires
