I am newly remodeling my kitchen... An I have just bought new black appliances, with Black and Cherry Furniture. I have also just bought new Cherry Cabinets. My question is..... What color do you think would go best with Black and Cherry for my Walls, and what type of counter top should I buy? I am not very good at this! lol

  1. Concrete counter tops are the type that I always suggest. Granite is nice, but it gets streaky and you cannot put a hot pan or baking sheet on it. Black concrete ones would match your theme. You can get stone and stuff put into it if you want. Also, concrete ones are more heat resistant than granite and also don't get streaky. A neutral wall color would be good for your theme. Oh, or a yellow. I love this one shade of yellow opaint, I am not sure what it is called though. It is quite yellow, but not like IN YOUR FACE yellow. Hope that I helped!

  2. A warm mustard gold would look great! There are lots of granite types that have gold in them, as well as the red and black accents...sophisticated and inviting.  Try using oiled bronze fixtures and hardware. They are unusual and striking!

  3. If you can afford it granite would be incredible. Really any color counters would work with the black and cherry. You could do black counters which would look good with the appliances. Wall color should just be what you like. Maybe a tan/ beige

  4. It sounds as though your kitchen is going to be beautiful. If money is no object, go with a granite or marble for the counter tops. If money is an object, corian tops are really nice, cheaper than granite or marble, and last just as long. Personally, I think that a light grey for the walls and maybe a darker grey for the tops would look really good.....but that's just my opinion. Good luck!

  5. I like forest green. Get some colored poster boards and place them on the walls and counters and see what fits your color combinations. A jade counter top comes to mind. Have fun!
