I need some suggestions on how to remove?

mold in my basement .. It's only in 1 spot, in the corner by my washing machine/dryer.. Someone told me use straight bleach, and scrub it off, then paint it... Any other suggestions. Thx, :)

unless it  black toxic  mold , bleach  mix 10 part with water will work , but it wont stop it ,comeing back.....

  you need to work where it comeing from?

  is it the water , comeing  out the waste pipe. spilling over,   lack of air , in the room  perhaps,  maybe you need to install

a fan to help keep  the air dryer

  once  you remove it primer  it  ,then  paint it   two coats

You can clean it with bleach.  Then use Kiltz primer and then use a bathroom and kitchen paint that will not allow mold and mildew to grow.  But you need to see if it is also behind the dry wall in that area.  If it is you will need to remove that area and investigate if it is any where else in that wall.

my suggestion is.... if it's bad, replace the drywall.  If it's just surface mold, then use Killz.  You can find it at most paint or hardware stores.   Sand the wall down and clean the wall with water.  Let it dry then put the Killz on.  Repaint in original color after Killz has dried.
