  1. Well, first ask yourself how you want be successful. If you are looking to define success as ending up in an Ivy League college at the end of your four years, then I say: try to participate in a few extracurriculars and be really good at them, excell academically by pacing yourself and studying, and be a friendly person. Oh and you might want to invest in some luck...haha

If you are just looking for general high school success, here are somethings I wish someone had told me:

    1) Be comfortable with yourself, no one will take you seriously until you take yourself seriously

    2) Look over the notes you take about 10 minutes every night, this results in you studying only...maybe an hour tops, more likely half an hour, the night of the big test.

    3) Know who will help you in your classes, group study sessions are wonderful

    4) Be outgoing and try a bit of everything but then focus down on a couple. Doing a lot in the beginning is a great way to meet people, once you figure out what you like, you can really excel by concentrating on them.

  2. Don't be gothic and date a nerd.

  3. be your self and you will be fine. Don't think about what anyone else thinks

  4. Honestly, it's not as intimidating as they make it sound,

i was a freshman just last year, and i heard all this stuff about how scarey it is and stuff, but in reality its not.

Most of the upper classman don't even pay attention to you, unless you do something to bring attention to yourself, otherwise they probably find you and your lostness, confusedness, and scaredness adorable.

Just be above the influence [haha] and choose the right people to hang out with. Good friends will be very helpful. Join clubs as a freshman to get a better position in the future quicker and do sports that interest you as a freshman so that you're better at them and ready for varsity maybe earlier or not late atleast.

Just go with it and don't think about everything too much, it is what it is.

Good luck, and I hope that was somewhat helpful.

  5. I think you should wear s**y clothes

  6. Be laid back and coy that way you don't embarrass yourself.

On the first day or so just dress normal, like not too much and not too little. That way you don't stand out too bad.

Make friends and be nice, so people will want to be your friend and not pick on you.

Just go with the flow until you get the hang of it and talk to some other girls a year older than you and ask them questions about it.

    That's what I did :-)

  7. I'll be a junior. Anyway, here's what I got:

-Don't run away with your emotions, always think things through considering it from every angle

    -Do all your homework

-Talk to your teacher alone if you are struggling

-Don't be afraid to tell the consoler or whoever if you think something is wrong with a friend.

    -Never neglect your friends

-Do not try to act or dress s**y or mean or ignorant, just be yourself; anyone who asked for something else is not your friend

-Do not be purposefully immature all the time

-Goof off occasionally; dance in the rain and imitate Charlie the Unicorn

    -Listen to your parents

    -Boyfriends aren't status symbols

-Don't make love a game or an experiment

    -Do your best

-Be respectful to teachers and staff

-Have at least one class you love

    -Have a good year :)
