  1. LOL I loved the last sentence of that.

I'd say maybe just hearts, smiley faces, see how it goes. Ask what they want. You're obviously not a professional and they're young, so they're not expecting a brilliant work of art out of you because let's face it they'll probably wash their faces off a few hours later anyway.

    Good luck!

  2. Kids usually come up with just simple designs that they like.  But my 6 year old boy love to have his face painted into either tiger, spider man or a bunny.  Check out the website for ideas.  Also you can get some simple stencil designs ready such as roses or butterfly and just use the sponge to stencil on.

    Good luck.

  3. Hi,

I have heard that krylon face paint is excellent.  Check online for the best deals.

Good luck and most importantly have fun!!  If your nice and you are fun kids really don't care!

  4. How to Draw A Horse (Head)

Draw a large circle of their choice of colour.

About a finger's width to the side, draw a small oval.

Connect the two with a little rectangle. leave the bottom end of the oval unconnected.

Draw one black dot in the big circle as an eye.

Draw a small triangle (same colour as the circle) up top of the circle. Draw another overlapping. (Back ear.)

Paint two tiny lines on the nose (oval.)

Draw the neck.  (How do I explain that? lol)

Paint on the mane (Hair) on the neck (from top to bottom) and between the ears. If you are drawing a unicorn, draw the horn before the hair.

That's how I made horses for the girls at the vacation bible camp, they loved it so much that I saw a few keep theirs overnight and wear it the next day! Sorry it was so ill-explained, I have no pics.

  5. Get real face paint.  Most party supplies stores and costume shops sell it in packs of several colors.  Rub the tiniest bit of cold cream (like Noxema, but generic works fine) onto the spot on the kid's face where you're going to paint.  It helps the paint go on better.  Always paint with the lightest color first.  If you don't, the dark colors may smear onto your brush and then into the light paint.

Have a few brushes so you can clean them easily between kids.  I think rubbing alcohol is good for cleaning them, but some paints say to clean them with soap and water.  Check yours to see what the manufacturer recommends.

An ice cream cone is a colored circle on a brown triangle.

A cat is a small circle on top of a large circle.  Add two little points for ears on top, and a curvy line for a tail at the bottom.

Teddy bears are an oval with 4 little circles around it (body and legs) and a medium circle on top.  Make little circles for ears.  In the lower half of the head circle, draw a smaller circle for the snout.  Put a black dot for a nose at the top center of the snout circle.

A lollipop is a circle of two or three colors with a brown line coming out from the bottom for the stick.

A balloon is an oval with a curvy black line coming out the bottom.

A bow is two triangles with the center points touching and a circle drawn over the meeting spot OR a bow is a flat x with the end lines connected and a circle drawn over the center of the x.

Flowers are a yellow center with colored circles around it and a green stem coming out the bottom, maybe with a leaf on it.

Kites are simple.  Draw a diamond and a curvy line coming off the bottom for the tail.
