I need some tips on how to grow veggies and herbs indoors.

Hi Everyone!

I have a closet that I'm converting into a grow room. I have lined the walls with mylar. I got a 400w MH light and a 400w HPS, ballast, fans, ect... I will not be using hydroponics, earth only. I am growing tomatoes, rosemary, basil, just to name a few. I have been checking online for tips and help but all I get is sites on how to grow marijuana in a closet, it is frustrating! Anyone experienced in closet growing that does not involve marijuana that has tips for me? How long should I keep the lights on ect?

I don't know either, but I am sure if you can grow drugs I guess it will grow tomatoes and other veggies as well. good question and thanks for posting it. I found this place called indoor garden .com

They should do fine. Time your lighting according to how much light they would get if they were outdoors. Timers help. I have mine in containers but am lucky enough to have an outside area to use. I have tons of herbs, tomatoes and peppers, all in pots. I would mimic the natural light cycle, water, feed, mist if needed, and enjoy the fruits. You can always follow the weed tips. I hear growing that and tomatoes is very similar, although I haven't tried growing that particular herb, lol.
