I need some transportation!?

im 17 and i have a 19 year old gf that has to pick me up and take me everywhere! i hate it and want to get a bike i leave for the navy in jan but do i wait to get one until i get back from boot? or do i get one now? i turn 18 in feb

Wait, and save up and buy it when you get back, so that way, it doesn't get old just sitting in the drive way. I would wait.

where are you? there are other forms of transportation but it depends on your budget and location. Go for a bike, if it's in a good place it wont rust

You will really not enjoy the bike meaning motorcycle? for this short period. Then you are off to boot camp for 6 months and then you go overseas for about another 6 months and then you get stationed where ever that will be. So wait to get it because then it will just sit there for a while with no usage. Good luck!
