I need some weight loss motivation and tips after a break-up?

My boyfriend of a year and a half recently broke up with me and I've been feeling depressed. I've been finding ways to fill my time (renting movies, spending time with friends, etc..) and I figured what better thing to focus on than losing weight and exercising.

I weigh around 290lbs (wow...) and I am 5'11. Since I'm so tall, I don't look THAT gigantic, as opposed to some people nearing 300lbs who are say, only 5'1- but still... most of my weight is in my stomach area and I have A LOT of weight to lose.

I need motivation, tips (besides the usual "drink 8 glasses of water, always take the stairs, do 30 minutes of cardio a day, etc..) Anything is appreciated. Success stories are always motivating too!

  3. What I think about when I try to motivate myself during a diet is thinking about this feeling I get around cute boys and how they probably aren't getting the same feeling around me because I'm a lardass...

    I guess this isn't really good motivation after a break up lol sorry...
