I need someone to show me around second life?

If you play second life then could you please explain a few things to me. Like one how you go to different places. On the map it wont show any place but where i am.

Oooh what you need to do is get friendly with the "search" window.

Most people get around in second life by teleporting (TP)

You can do these things to start exploring:

1- There's a "Landmark" folder in your inventory, expand that and see if you have any landmarks. Double click on one to teleport there.

(that works like a favorites list on the internet explorer! Save favorite landmarks by going to the world menu at the top of screen and choose "create landmark here" that will save the place in your inventory for later)

2- Open the search window and notice the Tabs at the top.

You can search under places, groups, people, etc.

Using the first tab "All" is like searching the internet. Where do you want to go? just type in "Dance club" or "zoo" or "ice cream" or whatever you want to try and then highlight one of the results and you will see a Teleport button. Click it! :)

3- Explore by map. You said the map only shows where you are at but if you zoom out on the map u can see the whole "world". Then double click anywhere on the map to go there. OR fly around using the "mini-map" button, and opening the big map occationaly to see where you're at. Its fun!

But I reccomend teleporting by the search window to find good stuff. If you can't think of anything to search for try the "Showcase" Tab it will give you a list of interesting places to try.

highlight one on the list and choose teleport.
