I have the option of staying home and going to a community college for 2 years, and then go off to a university, or go straight away to a university. I can't seem to make up my mind. I don't really know the pros and cons. If you had the option what would you do?

  1. i wish i had either taken a break after HS or gone to community college. i think one has to learn how to be a college student. one needs to learn how to discipline herself and learn how to manage her time wisely.

if you're unsure, i say go to CC first and get a feel for college. when you're ready, transfer to a 4-year school. staying home during your CC years may be tough depending on your family dynamics, but it's a means to an end!

    good luck!

  2. i would go to community college and then go to university after.

not only that youll gain a degree and education, there would be alot of experiences and new things to discover. do not be hesistant because you dont know the pros and cons, everybody has a first time:) eventually youll learn those pros and cons.

but the best part you'll  have a high degree in education  or a good eduational backgroud which will help you find a great job someday. staying at home might get boring eventually

  3. I don't think I can help, cause it is YOUR decision, after all, but I can analyse your situation for you

    U have options:

Stay home & go to community college

Going to college have its own advantages. You can stock up experiences, money and see the world of university education as an "outsider", which help much when U decide later. Also, college is not as intensive as university is, so you can catch your breath. Considering yours studying abilities. If you are not so good, going to college properly is a good idea (College cost less, too)

    Go to university

In many places (where I live, too), university is thought to be the fastest way to success. It is true, if you CAN. it is extremely stressful, especially when you go to famous university. and almost all the time you have to study, study... (of course there are fun activities, too. But if you are not that talented, you won't have free time to spend). Though, going to university give you access to the most up-to-date knowledge (that 's good) and help you have a good resume when you apply for a job. You will learn many thing interesting...

If you ask me, I would choose to go to university. However, while spending time studying, you can work on something you feel interested (while I study, I take time to imagine things related to it, thus help me come up with inovative design.. ). Then I start learning things I like first, which encourage me to study things I don't like...

    (oops, out of the topic).

Anyway, I think it is not matter where you study. As long as you do what you like, really get along with it, you can success.
