  1. Dry mashed potato flakes are fun also

    rice

    mixed cereal (non-sweetened as the sugar tends to stick to little fingers)

    different sized and colored crafting pom-poms


  2. *noodles and measuring cups

    *Colored dyed rice

    *"Clean mud"- you basically put clean toilet  paper in the sensory table, and water to make the toilet paper turn in to sludge.

    *Bird seed and plastic birds, and/or other animals

    Ribbon, cloth to cut

    Paper to hole punch and yarn to string through the holes

    Clean egg shells

    Coffee (smell can become a bit overwhelming)

    Plastic bottles/jars and their lids to be matched

    Easter basket grass or Christmas tree icicles

    Ice cubes or shapes, let the children use salt to build ice sculptures and add food coloring

    feathers, leaves, buttons, bells, beans

    Just about anything depending on the age of the child.

  8. Styrofoam packing peanuts

    Cotton balls

    Playsand

    Jell-O or pudding

    Cooked spaghetti

    ping pong balls

    water with soap in it - my kids like to blow bubbles with straws and push boats and things along in the water

    Check with your local recycling center.  They usually have some neat things you can use.
