  1. All cars run on fuel except electric cars.  Do you mean alternative fuels?

If so we live on a farm and changed over to biodiesel  about 4 years ago.  It cost about 5% more then regular diesel, as we buy it in bulk 400 gals. at a time.  We run tractors on it, generators on it, and we now have 4 cars - 1 truck running on it.  In the winter we have to mix biodiesel with regular diesel so that it won't gel on us, but by that time we only run 1 tractor for feeding and clean up anyway.  We have had to replace some fuel lines with Viton lines because biodiesel rots regular fuel lines. Also we up graded to better fuel filters.  We use only virgin soy biodiesel because fryer oil has salts and acids from food cooking.  The acids and salts can destroy injection pumps and they cost about $1000 to $2000 to replace if not rebuilt.  So far I have only replaced a few seals that don't cost too much.

    Check out ---http://www.biodiesel.org/

It's  a great source for biodiesel info.

  2. lol at first I thought you were talking about biodiesel cars that run on used cooking oil.  You need a lot more detailed questions if you want any meaningful statistics.
