well you've come to the right place. There are certain steps you must acquire before you become a black belt in algebra.

Step 1. you must know your multiplication, factoring, coefficients, PEMDAS. Replace calculator with scratch paper(That way you'll get a lot of practice)

Step 2. Don't be ashamed to ask your teacher for help, that means raise your hand in class and not cheating off of Miss Beatrice over your shoulder.

Step 3. You need to affirm yourself. You need to tell yourself "You know Algebra, you can do this. You are the smartest person in the class, You can put the teacher in his/her place. You live, eat and breathe algebra, etc. etc. you get the idea.

Step 4.Once you have made it to step four mentally, you are prepared to completely focus and achieve whatever math problem comes your way, that means algebra.
