This was a book I had when I was a child and loved! It's about a girl bear who the boys won't let her play with them. So, her Mom makes a special picnic for her. It had a 45 record with it and had a few cute songs in it. Then later the boy bear comes along and she let's him have some of her picnic. I thought there was another book like this but I can't remember what it was about. I got it through the "book club" at my elementary school.

You've got to be remembering "Best Friends for Frances" by Russell and Lillian Hoban.  Frances and her little sister, Gloria, are actually badgers, but they look a lot like bears.  Albert was the boy who wouldn't let Frances play because she was a girl, but in the end they share their picnic lunch with him.
