a true education game for a PC about archeology? i dont think there is one. there are lots of games based of mythology but they are not very accurate.

Definitely get your hands on LucasArts' 'The Dig'.  :)  That's one of my favorite computer games EVER, and it has a lot about excavating ancient civilizations.

You might also like LucasArts' 'Indiana Jones' series.  'The Fate of Atlantis' is particularly fun if you're into mythology.
